I purchased a wardrobe from Argos when they had their voucher offer on, spend £100 and get £10.00 back, I had to purchase online and have the item deliverd as in store was not availabe on this item. I now want to use the voucher but the only way I can use it is to order on line, that way you have to pay £5.95 delivery, how can ARGOS claim to offer you a £10.00 voucher, when you are having to pay for delivery on something that coud be collected in store i.e microwave, surely this is a false selling, had I purchased something in store I would have got the voucher there and then, anyone else found this problem?

This is what annoys me about argos too because the delivery is very expensive. I got my vouchers during the beginning of the year when I purchased a table and chairs. It made sense to pay for delivery then. But with the voucher we purchased a microwave and the only option was to pay for delivery. This meant I only actually got £4 use of my £10 voucher.
Very annoying0 -
I agree, but surely they shouldn't be able to get away with it!!0

you think £5.95 is expensive for delivery? I paid £20 delivery for two worktops from B&Q last week because they wouldnt have fit in the car safely. wish it had been £5.95.
If you order online for delivery only items then the system will only recognise the £10 voucher for the next time you order online. as it believes that is how you prefer to shop.
If however, you had gone into the store and ordered and paid for the delivery only items - then you would have got your voucher in hand.0 -
It is expensive for an item if you also had the option of picking up in store.
When I ordered the table and chairs, the delivery price of £5.95 was actually a great price because I would not have been able to fit it in my car.
However, when I ordered the microwave with the £10 voucher, I could have picked up in store if I had the option.
Either way, like I said earlier, very annoying but I got over it. £4 discount is better than nothing at all I guess!0 -
Just ring CS up and ask to speak to a manager about it,I am sure they will refund the £5.95.Jan Wins: .0
