fix a sliding shelf on a desk

Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I visited a member of staff who home works to do some training. They have a desk that has a sliding shelf for the keyboard. Well it did. The shelf came off the sliders.
It seems that ther is a roller on the desk and a roller on the shelf but I couldn't work out how it went back together, the runners came off the shelf section and the screws that attached it have come out.
I said I would see if I could find a way of fixing it but I have no idea where to begin.
Any ideas?

if they are like these (very common) you simply lift the shelf up and slot it in to the runners. dropping it level as you insert it.
ie one roller goes over the other roller.Get some gorm.0 -
Hi,
have a look at the runners on your kitchen drawers might be the same idea as above.0 -
thanks for that I looked at my desk that is set up the same way, her desk has those runners but seemed to be fitted different to mine, I'm wondering if they were fitted back to front in the first place.0

Hi,
well it shouldn't actually slide right out unless it is lifted a wee bit at the front first.0
