Wireless Electricity Meters....

Hi All

Didn't really know where to ask this one, but i live in a apartment and my meter is in the basement with everyone else's and want to get one of the home meter devices but they say you need to put on the home side of the meter.

Im on the 5th floor so cant do that far wirelessly, has anyone tried / know if they work on the consumer unit instead?

Love to know what's costing me so much electricity and see what different it makes etc

Thanks

Hi, if you have a consumer unit ( fuse box ) in your flat then you can clip the unit on to the large incoming cable
before the fuse box, that's if it is exposed and not in a tube. The meter needs to be clipped on to only one cable, there will be two. if it doesn't work on one try the other. The Npower one I use has full instructions . regards bri
