I'd call it an expensive lesson. Maybe take it out of their pocket money or christmas allowance, and don't leave the password open for next time0

Hello, just to clarify i did not give my son access to the account -its just that he figured out how to do it -which isn't very hard actually - and no security inputs such as pin numbers are required -and given the recent hacking breach i'm not surprised at how easy it was.
Okay, every PSN account has a password on it, that is required by default to sign into the account, the only way around this is if you have put your password in and clicked the 'remember me' button so as to not need it in future...100% G33K:D:D:D:D

Even if our children have a loose-ish concept of what they're doing you can't possibly hold them responsible.
Been there, done it, had a phone bill for £70 one month as my 12 year old lad had been texting and phoning a friend who'd gone to Rep of Ireland for the weekend - so it was classed as abroad - eeek! Can't say I'd have been much the wiser, we all make mistakes.
Sorry for digressing from the OP's point of thread - just wanted to say things are rarely black and white.0
