World record attempt in Llanelli

Parc y Scarlets is the home of Welsh rugby but for one night only in August heart and soul rugby country will open its doors to the newest dance and fitness craze - Zumba!

Thousands of people are expected to box step and shimmy their way to Parc y Scarlets on Friday 19th August for an attempt to break the world record for the largest number of participants in a Zumba class.
The record currently stands 1,223 set in Texas, USA and Parc y Scarlets hope to be the first to beat this record. As Zumba is becoming more and more popular, a growing number of record attempts are taking place but we are confident that the record will be broken at Parc y Scarlets!
Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just simply up for a laugh why not pencil Friday 19th August in your diary for a night out with the girls. Boys are also welcome of course! You can be a part of history and have a story to tell for years to come!
Top Zumba instructor Tina Tracey will lead the huge Zumba class, organised by Parc y Scarlets, with a percentage of ticket sales being donated to the Ray Gravell & Friends Charitable Trust who do tremendous work supporting hundreds of charities throughout West Wales.
Come and show your heart and soul at Parc y Scarlets and help bring the world record to Wales. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!
For only £10 per person you can be a part of history. The class will consist of a 30 minute monitored routine plus an optional 1 hour master class!
By taking part in Parc y Scarlets' Largest Zumba Class World Record attempt you'll not only help bring the world record to Wales but you'll also receive a complimentary bottle of water, a commemorative t-shirt to remember the occasion and a match ticket to any Scarlets home fixture in 2011/12!
