To negative or not to negative.

Bought a car part from a powerseller.

Price was very good.

Got an email just now telling me, item is out of stick and full refund given.

Now this guy has relisted the same part but at a higher price.

Should I give him a negative? Looks like he is blatently lying about item being out of stock and doing a very bad job of it.

yep and I would report as a non performing seller too. And hit them on the DSRs.

The ebay rules just get more and more silly.

I noticed too that an item I was watching at £9.99 BIN suddenly went upto a crazy BIN price of £999 the following day.

I messaged the seller and ask why - they said it was due to the item being out of stock, but not wanting to pay to relist the item. So they inflate the price to something silly until its re stocked.

This was mentioned on here the other day, I think that you get higher up the best match by how many you've sold, so you're more visible, if you cancel then you start at the bottom again.
Or that was how I understood it.

I suppose it depends how much higher the price - if it's a silly one then it might be that it really is out of stock, but if it's just a small increase, probably not. Maybe you should email the seller and ask them about it?

My main seller is like this. I'm at the top of the search for it, so get more sales. I went out of stock once due to a crazy rush on the item and by putting the price up for 2 days meaning no sales, I still kept my sales figures on the item and my top rank.

The same seller has now listed 10 of the items I bought off them for about a tenner more.

Had he been honest with me and told me he made a mistake with the original price I might have let him off but to lie about being out of stock when he currently has 10 for sale is taking the mick.
