Use by date on quorn slices - sainsburys

I bought a packet of quorn slices on Sunday 19th for my sons school packed lunch this week. I have just pulled them out of the fridge to make said lunch only to find that the use by date is the 19th (the day I bought them). Something else to add!

I contacted the nice people at Heinz on Friday to see whether it was possible to freeze the remains of tins of baked beans until needed!

Again the issue is quality and not health issues!

I will try freezing them and see what they come out like!

Makes me wonder how much could be frozen safely instead of wasted though!
