Brother is giving me £109.25 for road tax and 'usage rental' as he used the car I just sold for some of the time whilst I had it. That I will include in my original target as I hadn't really expected it as an income in addition to selling the car.

I have revised my total down a bit, to not include the rebate from Scottish Power (because it's not really money saved, just a reimbursement of money already paid).

Total from ebay this month is a grand £7.63, after having sold 6 games/dvds and two Tesco vouchers. The "big" money has come from me shopping around for car insurance, and selling some of my old text-books on Amazon.

If anyone has any old textbooks knocking around from their school/university days then I can highly recommend selling them on - I've been making around £10-£20 profit on them. It can take a while for things to sell on Amazon, because it's not an auction as such, but you just list them and let them sit there (for weeks/months if necessary) until they sell.

I've been in a bit of a Toluna frenzy, and I'm gradually creeping towards the threshold for a payout - not sure if it'll be this month or next, but it is adding up slowly.

Spending-wise I think I've done quite well this month, especially considering that I've had both car tax and car insurance to pay, in addition to paying for my son's holiday club. But this is the first month that I've been properly keeping track of my spending, and it's a bit of an eye-opener...

Well I am doing rubbish this month. I keep waiting and waiting for a free listings weekend on ebay which has not happened and,

I wanted to do two car boot sales this months but the weather each Sunday has been really bad. Checked the weather of this Sunday and it is junk again. It isnt fair.:mad::mad:

Hopefully I will catch up in the last two weeks of the month.

Thanks guys for the messages, cant wait to start fostering, been a long time in the making. Im even nesting!

On a money making note- not a penny :(
Been sooooo busy this week juggling errands and being a taxi service to 7 people that I've had no time to make any. Surveys are nearly at payout so it's just a waiting game.

The OH an I went car hunting yesterday, we came across a 7 seater Audi Q7 and we just HAD to take it for a test drive...all I can say is what a beaut! We both fell in love, perfect size, plenty of room, gorgeous car, economical, low millage...but touching £20k! Now any car we view will be pathetic in comparison! The OH is in a strop today because he cant have it! :rotfl:

And the moral is to not test drive cars you know you can't afford. Have you looked at (e.g.) one of the big Citroens?
