My Eon Fixonline8 ends 1st July, looking at changing to EDF Fixed Saver 2, can I switch now as it takes few weeks or should I wait till 1st July to make sure I get my full discount?

    Hi badboy

You'll be ok starting the switch now.

Switches usually take between 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Fixonline 8 will be history by the time your move goes through.

As long as you're still with us on 1 July 2011, you'll receive all the discount applicable to Fixonline 8 even if part of this falls within the final bill.

You'll also avoid the cancellation fee.

Hope this helps badboy. Give me a shout if you need any more details as happy to help.

So lets say I apply to switch to EDF now, on 1st July Eon say I will change automatically to Energyonline, should I change to Saveonline 7 on July 1st in the meantime or will that occor a charge when i am then switched to EDF?

    Hi badboy13,

You can change on to SaveOnline 7 when your current tariff expires if you wanted to.

But the SaveOnline 7 does has a cancellation fee of £30 for a dual fuel account that may be applied if you change before the end date.

    Hope that answers your question.

    Helena :)
