Purchase not fit for purpose?

We recently ordered a large amount of skirting boards online. They arrived and are awful quality timber, with blade marks, defects along the detailing and also the top part of the skirting is thicker than the bottom piece meaning there is a lip when joined together.
Where do we stand on returning them without a restocking fee? We are within the seven day cooling off period and we haven't just changed our mind, we feel they are not fit for the purpose we bought them for.
