in Credit cards
I've recently switched from a LloydsTSB Mastercard/AmEx credit card to a Sainsburys Mastercard.
As I always pay off the balance the interest rate doesn't bother me, so I'm only interested in the rewards - the LloydsTSB was airmiles, which took ages to build up and are not useful to me, so I've moved to a Nectar card with S'burys.
My question is: what should I do with the LloydsTSB account? I have cut the cards up and the balance is zero, but I wasn't sure whether it's best from a credit score point-of-view to close the account formally, or to leave it dormant with no activity.
I guess I'd rather close the account but wasn't sure whether opening and closing credit accounts might impact my score.
All thoughts welcome!

The Sainsburys credit card is rubbish too, at 1 point per £5 spent outside of Sainsburys that is equivalent to 0.1% cashback!
You'd be far better off with a proper cashback card or if you really want Nectar points the American Express Nectar card which gives you 1 point for every £1 you spend (0.5% equivalent).0
