Phoned Natwest today as I needed to cancel a Direct Debit as it was no longer required for BT.
Have telephone and internet banking but couldn't access internet banking tonight, and only tonight, no problems at any other time, so telephoned up...
They apparently couldn't access my account as I'd hadn't registered for telephone or internet banking. (this is after we made a complaint, got charges refunded...) funnily enough I then asked to speak to supervisor and they magically could get into my account...
The woman was really rude kept calling me the wrong name and then shouting over the top me!
Anyway, cancelled the direct debit and asked them to put a note on our account that we would be closing the account, her response was 'well it makes our life a hell of a lot easier if you do!' and hung up on me!
Methinks thats ANOTHER (the 4th in 2 months) complaint going into Natwest tomorrow!

They will have recorded this call too. Make sure you tell them, in your complaint, the time you called and the names (if you have them).
People like that should not be working in a customer service industry. (And I do, before anyone asks....)Everyone needs something to believe in.
I believe I need another beer.0 -
