OP- seller is absolutely not obliged to give you a refund in these circumstances, although some may choose to do so as a form of goodwill.
Get your kids to communicate with one another and sell the surplus one on ebay or amazon etc.0 -

Tesco ARE a Jersey based outfit if you buy online.
This was in store, so would have been hard to reach in Jersey.
I ordered a CD online for the 500 clubcard points, and sold it on Ebay (just wanted the points). But i listed it too soon, and it still had not arrived. So i popped into Tesco and bought another one and posted that.
Buyer emailed me with abuse for selling a 2nd hand CD because it had no cellophane on - and Asad ones did. I explained that Tesco did not - and said post it back and i will send one with cellophane on. After checking Tesco though - she decided to keep it.0
