Virgin. How do I contact these morons?

Virgin have been giving me the runaround (not addressing my concerns) and now I have a problem with my telephone line. This means I can't contact them other than landline on a mobile. Given that it normally takes up to 5 minutes just to speak to someone, I am not too keen on running up a large bill.. I rang last night from a BT phone, and after jumping through a dozen hoops (5 options here, 5 options there) I finally got through to some foreign call-centre and the call had to end because the operator had no idea of what I was saying.
Does anyone know how I can get in touch with them, otherwise? They seem to make it as difficult as possible for customers to contact them.
Also, I am considering going over to Sky. Are there any problems involved, expense etc.?
And how do I contact the CEO of Virgin? I'd like him to know just what is happening.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I ended out spending £20 on a mobile call to them once. After a complaint in they reimbursed me for that. Seems once it gets to complaints or retentions they're pretty good, but the rest of them (generally overseas call centres...) are just painful.

I think they have an operation in Ireland that was pretty good actually, just phone faults I suspect as I only once got through to there.

Incidentally I gave them notice a couple of weeks ago too. Sky deal works out cheaper, I'll comment on whether better or not another time (TV definitely better, but ADSL isn't exactly my first choice - but then neither was paying Virgin £40 for phone and 10Mb broadband...)

Depends if you are on cable or national. If you are on cable & don't have an active DSL phoneline installed, then you will have to get one as BT ect cannot use a cable line for phone nor DSL BBand.
