Had enough giving up

I am giving ebay up. The post office have lost yet another parcel - this one to the US and I have had the most abusive email saying that I never sent the parcel and sold it to someone else.

I have proof of posting, but it is a card we fill in and the post office stamp and she isn't going to accept that. In fact there will be no reasoning with her.

Every time I open an email my heart is in my mouth about yet another lost parcel.

She is going to leave a negative feedback - yet again for something where I have done nothing wrong. - Don't misunderstand me I make more than my fair share of mistakes - I will bend over backwards to rectify them. In fact I do bend over backwards and where does it get me. i make pennies out of ebay any profit ebay or paypal take in fees.

I have had enough - if I carry on with this I will be in an early grave.

:( Sorry to hear you are having a bad time. I do know what you mean. I gave up selling to america earlier on in the year after receiving some very abusive and threatening emails. All I had done was chase her for the money - lol!

IMHO ebay has changed over the last year and I do not feel it's worth my while anymore. I've gone back to giving my stuff away to charity shops, friends and freecycle.

Hope it gets better for you.

    Hugs :grouphug:

could you scan and email her the proof of posting?I know it wont stand up to a paypal claim as not trackable(dont tell her that though) but may pacify her.
Or if you carry on trading only send items recorded delivery or make overseas buyer pay extra £3 for tracking ref.

yes i do see where your coming from, ive been an ebay member for over 4 years, its been in freefall for a while ever since they started advertising etc..

my last 5 transactions are on dispute, 2 non-payers, a buyer who wants to pay with paypal, one seller who sent me a foreign charger (unusable), and another who claims that he hasnt received his item even with proof!!!!!!

As long as the item was for less than £32, then file a claim using your certificate of posting. I have had to do this in the past and the PO have paid out. You will end up refunding the buyer and hoping that the PO pay out your claim.

Just looked at another thread and soolin said "There is the possibility therefore that the package gets caught at US customs and the buyer refuses to pay additional charges which means that even tracking it won't help you as it will never be delivered." so maybe this is what has happened??

my mother had a similar prob recently and received abusive emails from a buyer in the USA, however it turned up 8 weeks after posting which is within postal guidelines (6-8 weeks for surface mail), hope this helps
