Help!

I've booked & paid for 7 day a family holiday on 16 July with Leger Coach tours titled: Rome, Pompeii & Capri. In 'Things included' in bold in the brochure it says that the above are included. However, I've now seen the small print in which it states that although they take you to Rome & Pompeii entrance fees and tours are NOT included, and the Capri/Sorrento options turns out to be a paid extra too and not included in any way. I feel gutted, the extra's will cost me a further £500. What's the use of going to Pompeii and NOT seeing the historical remains? The brochure is VERY misleading, I rung them yesterday and there is nothing they can do to help, cancelling now will cost me 60% of the original cost. Any Help or suggestions would be very welcome! Was the 'small print' available for your perusal before you paid in full?

I'm sure this is not what you will want to hear but a quick look at the website clearly shows that a lot of sightseeing is an optional extra (at extra charge) and I find it quite difficult to believe that a brochure page would not also have been as transparent?

I think you'll have to chalk this up to experience and read the brochure properly next time and double check anything about which you're not sure.

It does say

I guess you're right, but I do think it is a bit misleading to put it in the title, especially the 'Capri' bit!

I think that's a bit harsh, if you go & look @ the website, and more especially the brochure, you would see that it far from obvious what is ACTUALLY included. A company of any sort have a duty of care to their customers in ensuring that what they are offering is clear and obvious, I think you would agree. Don't be so quick to judge please, this is a genuine problem.

I think I have already stated that I think it is perfectly clear from the itinerary on the website (and presumably therefore in the printed brochure) what is and isn't included - so no, I do not agree with you.

I am not trying to judge you, I can see that you have a genuine problem and I'm sorry that my opinion was one that you didn't want to hear. Perhaps others will offer advice that will be more helpful to you.

I politely stated that in my opinion I didn't think you had a leg to stand on; if you are waiting for 'I agree with you, it's very misleading you have every right to complain/cancel etc' then perhaps others will post to that effect later. I'm sorry you decided to take offence.

OP, just move on, it isnt misleading, the facts were there.
I think perhaps youre a little annoyed with yourself because you didnt read it all properly

Just save up a bit more and decide that you are going to have a wonderful holiday.
It sounds as if it will be.
