What size drive would you recommend for putting the images on?

Bigger than the one you are imaging. :D :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Seriously though, a 2TB should last you a while. If your data is critical and you can't afford to lose it then you need to think carefully about synching your image backups to 2 different disks in case your backup disk fails.

So if the worst was to happen, I choose the smaller image I want to restore to (for a given date) and the program gets the full image and does all the updates to get it to the image I want. But if I delete the big image, then it's all a waste of time.

    Yes.

BTW if the only things changing regularly are your storage folders (docs, photos, music, video, email, downloads etc), then you can use TI to just do incrmental images of selected folders.

best value hdd's at the moment are 2tb's, its also cheaper to put together your own external hdd, requirements 1 x 2tb sata hdd ,and 1 x 3.5in Sata Enclosure, cost of build £65, cheapest priced 2tb external is around £80-85 depending where you look.

As i said in my previous post, i like acronis, but personally i never make the incremental images always the full image, as a side note if you put any downloads onto the 2tb external first you may not need to make one.
