    Morning all :)

Well, didn't manage an alcohol-free night last night, but only had one drink, and nursed it throughout the night, so not going to drag myself down about that!

    Plans for today:

    Check banking
    Check onepoll
Spend less than £2 when I nip to the shops after work to pick up a couple of things I need.
Work out a budget for next month (made harder still by how busy I'm going to be next month!)

hope everyone has a good day :)

    Hi All

Can I ask what an NSD is?

Not much today for me. I have called NPOWER home insurance team as I took out boiler insurance in December for £15 a month. They didn't send anyone to do the initial service in January and now that they finally have, our boiler is dead and I have to fork out £1150 for a new one (independently because with Npower it will cost us £3200). Npower said they would return our premiums because they didn't do their job properly which would be todate £100 but now they are saying they won't so I am waiting on a call back after I almost had a fit on the phone at them!

I also have alot of outstanding debt that I have decided everytime I get a letter now I'm going to tackle it and sort out an amount I can pay per month even if it's only a couple of quid. I am scared of having bad credit :o(

You are all giving me the confidence to move on with these things!

    xx

    Hey everyone,

Pixie - Thanks for starting us off, can you pass some of your ebay luck this way please?
La Escocesa - Hope they manage to fix your fridge properly this time, it's not right with all the food you're losing due to it!
Miss149 - Welcome! & to your mobile phone bill! I hope they do drop it for you, why was it so expensive to begin with? I thought you could get iphones for about £30 a month these days?
Ziggy - Aww bless, must be so hard as a parent to see your child in even a tiny bit of pain! Hope he's doing better now
Rock_cakes - Good luck with all the job interviews/applications, moving etc!
NTBY - Does this mean you've made a decision? Sounds like you are having a fabulous time, wish I was there doing the same! Enjoy the poetry night
Compliments - I hope your eyes feel better soon, such a nasty thing as you always want to rub them but know you shouldn't!

    NSD = No spend day

Ooh good luck, Npower are awful!!! I tried to switch to them last year but instead they took over my neighbour's gas supply, & cancelled the electricity without bothering to tell us.....took MONTHS to sort out, & many phone calls. Make sure you complain about it & get them to reimburse you - we got the cost of our phone calls back at least.

Not really :( ex OH and i have decided to not talk for a bit though, which is really hard but is probably for the best. I'll text him on his birthday next month and see if he wants to be in touch again. I miss him terribly but realize its only fair to give him the space he needs to move on if he wants to.

Where is your holiday, sneaky one?? how exciting!

Cool, I guessed it might be that but thought I'd better ask so I don't look like a doofus! Thankyou! I am definitely having an NSD today!

And yes Npower are total gits!! I have changed over now thankfully but still waiting to hear about the premiums!

I know, I took it out with Orange in November last year after losing my 3g iphone (i only had a month left so it wasnt a big deal) and because i only wanted an 18 month contract, that was free to get the phone this was the best tariff they could offer me! Ive seen loads of £30 a month contracts now so im not sure if i'll be able to reduce it but im going to try at least.
