I got mine today and although it says it works with the Nano, it doesn't have an adaptive fitting for the socket where you stick your i-pod in on the radio alarm (sorry hard to explain). It has an adaptive fitting (well it has about 5 in all for different I-pods) for the old style nano, but my nano (most recent generation) purchased this month wouldn't fit in it.

However, this is NOT an issue, as there is a adaptive fitting for exactly this type of job that came in the box with your Nano (Apple obviously aware that many accessories not suited to new generation Nano)...which fits perfectly in the top of the radio alarm then your nano just sits in it. Even if you can't find that it's still not a prob, as your nano will still fit on the docking area, just not very securely and if it got knocked it would snap the docking fitting off...

Sorry if i've rambled, that was hard to get out!!!:o

I would not try the official iPod dock adapter unless you want a permanent 2G Nano docking station as once in it is impossible to remove! Hence why I will be returning mine tomorrow as 'Made For iPod' should mean the official dock adapters should be compatible with the unit.

I bought one today also... but at the till I was told "there was a pricing error/mistake," something about the half price bit.... I think she meant it wasn't origionally £79.99 but it was still £22.49! Sounds like it's good so the origional cost doesn't really matter!

How do you mean? Does the official new nano adapter fit inside the old nano adapter and then not come off it again? Could you explain more for those of us who are hovering about getting one ;) ta!

OMG you just had me in a bit of a panic (as had not tried to get it out as yet!)...so rushed into kitchen and it just flicks out (got my thumbnail under gap inside)...it's not too snug...maybe first one you had is not right? Or you need to grow longer nails

I think JohnTea has had to use the docking adaptor that came from Apple with his newest generation Nano as there is not a suitable docking adaptor in the selection that come with the Acoustics solutions alarm for the newest Nano (only for old style). The one from Apple fits directly into the docking station...JohnTea has subsequently had problems with removing it from the unit...I've done the same and not had a prob...guess it's a risk, but all I can tell you is mine is ok...HTH

It came out eventually. Men don't have the advantage of long fingernails most of the time :p
