Barclaycard automated fraud prevention

I got a automated call from Barclaycard the other day just going through some of my recent transactions, fair enough.
But they rang both my landline and my mobile. And all I had to put in to hear about my recent transactions was my date of birth?!
Now the concern I have here is I'm living at home with my parents and sister who all know my date of birth! It did say 'If you are not xyz hang up now' but that is hardly a deterrent!
Is there any way to turn this 'feature' off or get them to improve the security slightly? Ask me to put in my passcode which I use for the online or something like that?
I just feel like date of birth is a little too unsecure which is rather ironic for a 'fraud prevention' line :rotfl:

Unless you suspect that someone in your family is a fraudster then the system is secure. If your card is cloned or stolen the chances are that the thief will not have access to your mobile or land line. Why not go on line and delete the home number from your details.Money is a wise mans religion0 -
As Bloomberg has said, the only way would be to ask them to remove the landline number they hold for you.
You can't seem to remove it online but they can if you call them.David

I'd really recommend that you leave your numbers in for this purpose
If the transactions had not have been yours, I hope you would be delighted to have heard from them and know that they'd stopped your account.
The only way of accessing more information than say the last few transactions is to speak to an operator and you would have to give further ID at this point so your account remains safe.
I hope also that anyone who has access to your landline respects your privacy enough to hang up if they answer a call like this for you.So many glitches, so little time...0
