Annoying Rottweiler Problem!!!!

Firstly if this is the wrong board im posting on then I do apologise.

My wife and I live nextdoor to a family who have 3 big rottweiler dogs cooped up in a tiny back garden, These dogs snarl, growl and bark at any opportunity and to be perfectly honest they are damn right annoying.

The dogs dont get walked and are allowed to poo and wee all over their garden, It gets to the stage where even if we peg our washing out they start. We can no longer have BBQ's as they just spoil it. As you can imagine too the ammount of Flys flying around the house has tripled due to the smell of urine and poop.

Am just wondering what we can do, My wife has contacted the RSPA but they had no concerns.

Any advise would be extremely gratefull

Can't you complain to the Council? Surely if the yard is as small as you say the RSPCA will do something?!

The RSPCA wont care, but contact environmental health about the flies and poo;)

I'm guessing that you've tried discussing the matter with the family concerned? If there was no joy there, then candygirl's right, you need to contact Environmental Health.

Thanks, The family who own the dogs are quite unapproachable to be honest. The women spends all day indoors apart from when she makes a trip to the local off licence for 8 more cans of beer and the man is out looking for scrap all day!

Environmental Health at your local council deal with hazards from urine and faeces, also noise including dogs barking. There is another thread on Rottweilers that was moved from the DIY board to Discussion Time, well worth using the search function to find others. The RSPCA deal with the welfare of animals not neighbour disputes.

So annoying when people don't look after their dogs properly. I bet if these dogs where given attention and proper exercise they wouldn't bark all the time, probably just trying to amuse themselves.

Council is probably your best bet for noise issues. As long as the dogs are being fed and watered the RSPCA probably can't do much about them. If the woman is at home all day you would think they would annoy her too, I know I would be annoyed if my dogs were in the garden barking but maybe she just turns the TV up a bit louder!
