after many years of v poor summer weather in the holidays I am fed up of camping in a soggy field - and frankly camping as a single mum is exhausting...I can get.....a whole month off this summer !!! whooowee! 27 july to 27th August... so suggestions for a whole month appreciated ( mega tight budget - incase that wasnt obvious)
also please dont suggest

working holidays - I'm Not digging ditches for 4 weeks
camping - arghhhhhhh done it.....learning to loath it
house sitting - no -one wants a single mum - no matter what the references
and cant house swap - - lodger refuses to dress up as a butler
( dont know why - he does it for fun sometimes !!)

abroad would be super cool ...
any ideas anyone?

Perhaps Ryanair flights to Reus or Girona and stay in a SC apartment.

thanks - yes ryan air is a cheap get there option
but the sc- apartments - not so much so -
campsites ( mobile homes - let us not mention tents!)
allow much more freedom and facilities for the kids

and a month @ £1000 a week is really not on the cards
even £8oo is too much a week...

There all kinds of SC accommodation in that part of Spain at a variety of prices, 3 weeks in something better might be a good option compared to a month in not as good accommodation.

What about somewhere like Turkey where living costs are generally lower? For a whole month you could combine some sightseeing and some beach places. If you are adventuous take the kids to Morocco - it's pretty cheap there but might be too hot during summer.

How many kids, what age, how much do you have to spend, total, including food, flights, accommodation?

Turkey can be cheap, depending where you go. You have possibly left it a bit late to get a cheap flight though. However, if you do go to Turkey remember:

    1) to check reviews on the hotels and areas as Turkey can vary so much in the tourist areas
    2) You need £10 per person inside your passport as a visa fee. You need a ten pound note (nothing else) for each person.
