I have found it quite useful to find the prices on the internet then get stores to match them! Several shops have done it for me. Some of them like you to have a high street price to compare (even if it's miles away - I got a camera bag price matched to a shop in Devon when I am in Brum!) and some don't mind.

And there's always haggling. Even high street shops want to sell as much as you want to buy!

In Wilkinson's (Tamworth) today, Some Power Tools are Half marked price, having already been reduced a few weeks ago. I've picked a couple up as gifts.

Heavy Duty Hammmer / Chisel Drill - Was £20, Now £15 and half marked price = £7.50.

4 Piece 18V cordless tool set (drill, sander, jigsaw, torch) - Was £30, Now £20 and Half marked price = £10.


Other power tools and some basic hand tools / sets are also in the offer.

They are not big brand tools (Wilkinson's own/nameless brand) but one heck of a bargain.
