Partner applying to same credit card company??

Hi all,

Real quick question which I'm sure many will know the answer and can advise.

I have a Virgin card and am looking for the best balance transfer deal. My credit rating is good but not excellent. I applied last week for sainsbury card for a balance transfer but got rejected. Is it worth my wife applying for another card to do the balance transfer and would it be best to stay away from virgin and try a completely different company. Or should it now be left for a little while.
My application was a single application and not joint.

Also, any recommendations on company to use......I was thinking of tesco, or is it best to stick with banks etc..

Please help!

Of course in my opinion only, but i wouldnt use Virgin again for anything if they were the last company on earth. The reason being, Broadband (Dropped every single day at 2pm for 2 hours until around 4.30pm) - TV, Nothing but issues, broken picture, channels offline along with being double charged on 2 seperate occasions - Honeymoon through Virgin Holidays, shocking state of affairs which did result in a £500 refund but from a £4300 holiday thats kind of insignificant - I cant advise people to stay away enough. I'd go with Tesco if i was you, i use them for my Car Insurance, Credit Card & Shopping/Travel Insurance etc and they have been nothing but great.

I would agree virgin have been terrible with this card.....interest is a joke but I suppose they are all in to make money at the end of the day.

What I ideally wanted to know was would it be best for my wife to apply to say tesco for a 0 percent deal and then I can get rid of the virgin card or would it be better for us to do a joint application, considering I got turned down last week for sainsbury card and Im guessing tesco and sainsbury probably work on the same basis of accepting people etc.????

Virgin is just a brand. ALL the decisions regarding the card are made by mbna.

There is no reason to think that a bad or good experience with Virgin media will mean anything about the credit card

There is no such thing as a joint application for a credit card, doesn't exist.

You can apply and if sucessful your oh could have an addtional card.

If you got turned down for the card you listed, it's very unlikely you'll get an MBNA card.
