It was still done incredibly fast.

When I've reported something amiss it's taken hours before it disappears. This was posted and removed within two minutes!

Why would the mods remove all the wording yet leave the empty post there and still allow further comments to be added.
Also why would they state "Please contact a member of the administrative team" instead of simply sending an e-mail to the OP?

and if you post something then edit it yourself quickly, there isn't any proof that it was edited. (I've just added this comment like that)

Well, there is a precedent for that, at least.

When they remove signatures they just leave a message there saying to contact the admins if you don't know why they've done it.

They do this even if your sig does not break any rules.

On balance, though, I suspect that shenanigans are exactly what is going on because the post was modified within a maximum of two minutes from posting and it would be odd if the admins just happened to spot anything that fast.
