debt owed to arrow assigned by MBNA (trying to get SARS) Help Please !!

Hi

I would appreciate any advice anyone has about claiming back charges on my old credit card.

Basically I had a credit card from 2004-2006 which accumalated quite a bit of debt that im still paying off through my debt management plan.

Can i claim back unlawful charges after all this time ??

Also i sent a SARS Request to Arrow DCA and instead of sending me all statements and signed copy of agreement etc from the credit card they have basically sent me all info that THEY (Arrow DCA)have on me, basically when they took over the debt and payments I have made to them,
they have sent me no statements of account for credit card or no signed copy of agreement,
Where should I go from Here ??

I am in the same situation with same credit card company (virgin) i forwarded my sars letter direct to virgin (mbna) and are awaiting an outcome from them, they will have all your statements etc. i will let you know if i receive them direct, i would right to mbna and request again without the cheque saying that you have asked for this information from arrow, but they havst sent you it etc etc. maybe that will help. Cheers Lindsay

You should send your SAR to the original card issuer - they applied the charges and therefore they will need to refund them.

If they are unlawful, definitely :)
