payment disaster!!!!!!HELP

My wife (not me, honest!) has never sold before on her ebay account. This weekend she sold two highvalue items - for about £350 in total, however..........the payments from buyers are not accessible. We have contacted paypal and they say it's because when listed, under the 'decide how you want to be paid' box, she did not notice that the email address in the paypal box was an old one that is now closed and no longer accessible.

Paypal have suggested the only thing we can do is to contact the buyers and grovel and apologise, and ask them to cancel their payments (which will be shown in their paypal accounts as 'unclaimed') and then send them out new invoices linked to the correct email address.

We have sent the message to the buyers, but now need to know how we send out new invoices (and more importantly, how to make sure they are linked to her correct current paypal email address.)

The woman at paypal was not helpful and just said, 'look in ebay help, and it'll show you how to do it.' But I can't find it.

I really need your help, as the items sold really well, and we don't want to have to re-list them (or disappoint the buyers). Thanks

Have you tried re-registering the unused email address, if nobody else is using that address that may work

hey, i would say explain the situation to them, then give them your email address (the right one) and ask them to do a paypal transfer, its very easy, have a look in your paypal and you will see. You just click somthing like transfer funds, then enter email address. tell them not to click for ebay items though, as it will say please use ebay. that will work xxxx

The thing is, as a buyer, I would be wary, as it sounds like a scam - problem with paypal, can you just transfer me the cash outside of ebay etc etc.

I believe there is some way within ebay of creating a new invoice (directed to the correct paypal email address), which would still allow the buyer the full ebay and/or paypal protection and give them confidence that it is all ok.

Ive done this for things i have brought before, if you keep all the emails and make sure you write in the paypal box what exactly is going on, im sure it will be okay. I find that ebay and paypal are not the best for somthings, like finding help. xx
