Can anyone help me to download a font? The one I want is Tuffy infant and although I have downloaded it from 3 different sites Windows cannot open it. I have deleted all 3. I have downloaded some other fonts namely Jarman, Lilly, and Aaargh and just had to click install and all was fine.
The fonts I want to use are all child friendly to help with reading. The font used in schools is Sassoon and I begrudge paying £28.00 for it when others are quite similar and free.
Many thanks.

Hi, I don't know if this is what you've been doing but as far as I know some fonts need to be copied over to the fonts folder in control panel, press copy and paste it in there and it should install.
If you've tried that, please disregard thisJosh

No I have not tried that the others I just had to click on and they installed in about 2 seconds!0

Ok I have just found out that it is designed to work with Linux. Can I use it with Windows Vista or would it be easier to stick with what I already have?0

Hi again,
I downloaded the font off this website " http://www.webfreefonts.com/Tuffy-Infant-font/292/fonts " and copied it over to my fonts folder using windows XP, it works and appears in microsoft word.
I cannot vouch for windows Vista, maybe something might be different.Josh

No - I did it all and got a message that RAR was not a valid font file!0

Rar is a compressed file, similar to a zip file.
You need to 'un-rar' the rar file for which you'll need a program such as WinRar. The font file will then be extracted and you can copy it to your fonts folder in Windows.0 -
Have you got software to extract the files from the RAR file?
If yes, right click on the file and there will be options to extract the file to a folder. Inside you should find the font file.
If not, a simple piece of software like this should help to extract it.
