    Agreed. But OP has not changed his mind. This is simply an unauthorised amount
    Unless BG come up with a tape that makes it sound differently, in which case it could be construed as such. And they do tape most if not all of the calls. They are also masters in misleading people.

    All calls ae recorded... also i wouldnt say masters at misleading....

    You would do if you had met as many people as I have that were convinced they had a contract with BG to service their boiler annually and/or guaranteed to fix the boiler in less than 24 hours in case of breakdown.
    Although some people indeed get their boiler serviced annually, out of all the people I have met, only a handful actually got that. The vast majority did NOT get an annual service but only a safety check, and ABSOLUTELY NO ONE had a guarantee of repair in 24 hours.

    That leaves two options:
    1 I meet an incredible amount of really stupid people and only a smart one once in a blue moon.
    2 BG are masters at deception.

    you tell me where it states on their website or in the t&c's bout guarantee of repair in 24hrs??

    I have never known that to exist... last year they ran tv ads called customer promise (they pulled the ad when the bad weather struck), if you call by 1pm with no heat or hot water, we guarantee to come out that day and START repair.... speifically START as parts may be required.... therefore not repaired that day.

    Unfortunately nowadays people expect too much, people dont read the literature they get sent, and are ignorant to them til the day they are told something they dont like.

    Bengas man,,,,, for you... do you have a mortgage? did you read you full t&c's??? back to front?

    Read my post: I come across loads of people that are under that impression. I didn't say it's in their T&C, and it doesn't really matter where they get the impression from. What matters is: lots of people ( it actually seems to be the majority ) are under the mistaken impression that they get a whole lot more than BG give them for their money.
    I witnessed BG employees at it a number of times, and straight-faced, clear, undeniable lies were the rule, not the exception.

    Of course it couldn't be that as a small businessman someone here has a vested interest in slating the big boys at every opportunity???

    people are under this impression wheather its british gas, npower, home insurancee, car insurance.....

    people EXPECT, but in reality people dont read to see what IS COVERED

    Facts are facts, and these are facts. Nothing to do with personal interests. There are numerous companies in the competition, but only 3 that stand out when it comes to complaints: BG, Homeserve and Storm Heating. Storm Heating don't seem to operate on my patch, but hear a constant stream of complaints in the trade. BG and Homeserve do, and it beggars believe what I personally see and hear from people that I visit.
