hi, i have 3 cats aged 1year 7 months and 5 months the 2 eldest are male and have both been neutered and the other one is female which is not done yet , i am trying to find insurance for them which i dont have to pay up front for as i am in an iva, so am stuck on quite a tight budget and cant have savings either , so if something happens i need the insurance to pay up straight away , do these sort of insurances exist??

Only with the vet direct and you'll probably be paying twice as much in premiums. Most vets will require you to pay part of the bill at the very least. Maybe max £100 cash upfront and the rest can be paid directly by the insurance company. See what the vet says.
You can have savings on an IVA just not huge amounts. A few weeks of expenses is quite acceptable.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Welcome!
Do you mean you won't have to pay the insurance premiums up front or the vets fees up front? If the latter, this is generally down to the vet practice not the insurer so you will need to ring around, but TBH most will ask ou to settle the bill fairly promptly. Are you eligible to use the PDSA for expensive emergencies? Have you posted on the IVA board to ask how others deal with veterinary bills? Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
i mean the vets fees up front, and looks like ill have to ring them and see what they say , thankyou will check out the pdsa too .0

Our dog is insured with John Lewis and they will pay the vet direct if the vet is happy with that.
I don't know if other insurance companies do the same.
Would suggest talking to your vet before you have to claim and explain the circumstances. Then if they're happy to be paid direct by the insurnace company it'll be one less thing to worry if your cats are poorly. But do hope they're not
