But do you need to show that you have income that equates to £1500 p/m to qualify?War does not determine who is right - only who is left.0

No proof required, but the application will ask your annual income.
Yea no proof, (not many people know about the e-saver £1 thing)
But still, doesn't that defeats 'FD's' purpose?
if it was me, i'll just make a standing order on my HSBC account of £10 send it to the FD account open the e-saver and thats it, done and dusted another 'FREE' bank account.• HSBC (Main A/C)

But why wouldn't you ditch HSBC for them given the improvement in customer service?Yea no proof, (not many people know about the e-saver £1 thing)

I certainly have, and have probably telephoned FD more times than I ever did HSBC in the space of a few months - 'cos I know I can get an answer straight away, compared with HSBC where they might not know.
Edit: And FD gave me a credit card when HSBC wouldn't.0 -

just glad I managed to become as customer of there's at 18 - unless they do anything terrible they have most likely got a customer for life at the moment.
Internet banking is great - very intuitive and easy to use, along with the phone customer service - it's nice having to phone answered in 2 rings without an IVR (Press 1 etc).

Nice,
so when you applied, they send you a letter saying you have an account or do you have to sign something then send it back ?
(what about proof of id and proof of address) ? i doubt you can send your passport to them or? (how does the id thing work?)

When I applied online I got an email the next day saying that they had sent me an application form which needed signing and sending back - this arrived the day after, I signed it and heard nothing for a few weeks then received all the paperwork.Nice,

They check your ID and address though a credit search - this is because they check your electoral roll information.0 -
You may want to remove your email address from the screenshot you have posted.0
