- Switch off all stand-by devices at the mains.
- Avoid devices with copper coil transformers.
- Replace light bulbs with LED light bulbs.
- Buy only energy efficient devices (fridge, washing machine et al).
- Avoid tumble dryer and hang the washing to dry.
- Switch your computers, printers, Internet, Cable box et al off (mains off) over night.

The best energy saving product is probably insulation for the walls, attic and hot water tank as it saves energy and makes the house more comfortable.
I like the new Philips eco30 bulbs too, I've been replacing 60 watt bulbs with 42 watt bulbs and they're otherwise identical in use.
Thermostatic radiator valves are really helpful too as they help control the heating in rooms that would otherwise overheat.0
