I'm been mooching a lot lately on diaries and found Stitchies lists one - La E I am so going to write to a post pal - found one who has DMD so going to write to him - makes me sad to see kids in chairs and then breaks my heart to know that little Alfie will be the same if nothing is found fast - at the mo he is a happy running around sort of kid who gets super excited about everything so it's gotta be done :(

Haven't really done much tbh - given a few snacks to the work guys so I don't eat them all (left overs from the hen party on Sat)
need to list more stuff on ebay, so will do that and that's about it

2nd job work later - yawn! Gotta be done though otherwise I will be poor! xxx
Life is too short not to love what you do.
  • Morning all (afternoon?)

    Today I am going to:
    • Find the proof required to open a basic bank account ready for taking in tomorrow at lunch.
    • Take some receipts in to work (they owe me about £100) to get a cheque. Once paid in I will transfer money to my car finance arrears.
    • Check survey sites to see if I am due any vouchers.

    Hiya,

I didn't end up posting yesterday as I wasn't very DFW...but I was being fairly MSE about it! We bought a groupon for 5 nights in Marrakech :D Works out at just under £225 each, 5 star hotel & flights included, & even free entry to the aqua park, I'm really excited! I haven't been on holiday since my friend's hen do in March last year, & I haven't been on holiday with future hubby since Mar/April the year before that, just need to figure out how to book the thing now :rotfl: I should also add I have NOT put this on credit either, wahey! :j

It's going to be a busy week as well because instead of going to tkd tonight I'm going to Polenastics with some friends, but in order to keep up my level of tkd training I'm going to get a lift with a friend to the lessons in a nearby town (about 30mins away) on Tue & Thur, as well as attend our usual local session on Wednesday, & being the idiot that I am I volunteered to bake some cakes ready for Friday to sell for charity, I have no idea how I am going to pack this all in!!!

    Today I have/will:-
    • [STRIKE]Heating off [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Food from stores [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Make use of free water etc at work[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Pay cheque into bank today rather then leave it for days on end [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Return to work straight away afterwards to avoid the shops![/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Charge phone via pc[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check online banking[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Check for surveys[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Enter comps[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Polenastics tonight,[/STRIKE] bought this via Groupon so got a good deal & we are all piling into the one car to save on petrol costs :) Kinda nervous but at the same time looking forward to it
    • Book holiday :D- Turns out I can't book until tomorrow, hey ho!
    • Check out flylady thread & at least do 1 thing, despite how busy I will be this week! Rope OH into helping as much as possible ;)
    Serendipity - Enjoy tkd tonight
Candy - Chin up, hope the car doesn't cost too much
Picasso - Enjoy your last day off
La Escocesa - Don't stand for this fridge rubbish, they need to fix it properly this time! Get mad , well, not too mad, but just enough that they pull their fingers out!
Ziggy - Hope you feel a little more positive soon

Have a great, moneysaving day everyone x

    Afternoon all,
Have just rejoined the forum after a long absence and a change of username (my old one gave away far too much personal stuff about me). I used to be quite a regular on this thread (and I’m still a lurker) and I miss the accountability that is gave me as well as the ideas everyone else has so I am going to try and jump back in here.
    My list for today:
Check banking & update spreadsheet DONE
One expenses claim paid (3 weeks late ) so PAD to NW CC for that DONE
File expenses claim for last week - £89DONE
Phone Natwest to get balance on CC DONE
    NSD DONE
Walk to free bus stop and get bus to work (and back again) DONE
    Free lunch at work DONE
    Free fruit at work DONE
    Meal from plan tonight DONE
Start new diary on here and write first entry.DONE
It is my payday on Friday and I am hoping that I will clear the balance off my two credit cards this month once and for all, meaning I will plastic free for the first time in a decade and over halfway to being totally debt free. Have just done a complete brain dump to my new diary thread and I feel better already, am looking forward to being able to have a bit of an outlet and company on what will hopefully be the last 7 months of my DFW journey.

All in all not a bad day, also managed to check tyre pressures tonight, a job I have been meaning to do for at least a month. Feeling quite chuffed with progress :j
    Debts at Highest £18600
    Overdraft £550/£900
    Egg Loan currently £6253
Credit cards - GONE AGAIN as of 26/07/11
    THIS TIME IT'S FOR REAL!
    Aiming for DFD 26/01/2012

    Hi everyone

Hey Ziggy and Arctic Sky - I'm an adopted Sheffielder - Scottish really ;)

Perni - holiday sounds fab!!! :j Gosh you sound busy this week!! My plan for the fridge is to now call them out all the time, rather than just defrosting it and dealing with it myself. The trouble is that you need to speak to about 4 different people to get someone to come out, none of whom know anything about what's happened before etc, and then the guy that comes out gets the fridge working again so I can't really argue even though it never lasts  Then the whole thing has to happen all over again the next time...

Man I am rubbish, since work blocked the forums it's really hard to get on here!
    Here is my list anyway:-
    - Checked banks
    - Ordered parts for car at less than trade price
    - Organised bro to fix car while I am on holiday
    - Worked my a** off (although only because I kept doing things wrong and had to repeat things.... lol)
    - NSD
    - Lunch from stores
    - No dinner, too late, not hungry and bro not here demanding food so not bothered. lol
    - Used Wii Fit 1/2 hr
    - Will clear and repaint nails
    - Drink lots of water
    - Sold two purges
    - Tidy around
    - Organise with friend/lil sis arrangements for holiday on Thursday
    - Caught up with friends on FB rather than text
    - Definitely sparkled :)

I'm so excited! Neither of us have been out of Europe before so it will be a real eye opener when we go out of the resort, but at least we have that to come back to if things get a bit too different for our liking! I think we will really enjoy seeing a completely different culture though. I have just priced up holiday insurance quickly & found out we can get a bus that drops us off at the hotel rather then booking pricey transfers, yay! All in all looking at about £316.69 each by the time we've booked parking etc too, so just need to cut back on going out at the weekends to give us some spending money :)

Can you not put a complaint through that it keeps breaking & you keep having to explain it to people so many times? Surely they are able to log notes against the account?
