Just wanted to warn everyone about a scam on play.com I ordered a xbox game from a seller and rather than a tracking code i received this email...
I have cleared the names

Please can you fill in the following secure form by clicking reply you should then be able to fill in the form. This is just for verfication and a security check please note we do not see any of your personal details as its encrypted through our server and part of data protection
Your order will be delivered by parcelforce 24 and then we will email you your tracking number for your to trace your item on parcelforces website

All of the information you give us via the email is handled with the utmost confidentiality. We ensure the security of the site by encrypting all the information through the secure socket layer (SSL) before it is sent to us.
This information is then passed to xxxx to process and authorise payment. xxxxx operate through a Secure Server and all transactions that take place are encrypted between your browser and the Secure Trading Server
now luckily baby brain hasn't fully taken over and i haven't responded and i will be calling play.com today as the email uses their logo and the secure visa

That really is shocking. Good to see you're on the ball op and didn't fall for it.
I daresay there might be a fair few naive people who would though.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090 -
apparently play.com have had about 50 complaints about the same item in one day i really hope nobody gave their details i was ordering something for my dad and i'm really glad i did it as chances are he would have filled it in as he doesn't shop online often so wouldn't realise it wasn't normal.
The good news is i found the same item on ebay for the same price from a seller with 850 positive feedback so should still get his game :-)0
