Having a half hearted look at property, I have a 2.5 bed semi at the mo, was looking for 3 dbl beds if poss in my area, and came accross this:
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-34227815.html
I know the area, it is nice, did a drive by yesterday and impressive from the outside. (nice cul de sac type arrangement)
A 4 bed in a good area is usually starting at about 230K from my minimal research (there are some quite unpleasant pockets of area around here
)
I know there are no dimensions up yet, but what do people think? Is there a way I can see what it has sold for in the last few years?
Many thanks you good MSE peeps

Number 27 sold for £240k in 2008 and is also a semi.
21 sold for £229 500 in 2007 and is also a semi.
Hope that is of some use.
Rightmove will allow you to see sold prices if you check tabs. Worth installing Property Bee as well so you san see property history with description changes, price changes etc.0 -
According to Zoopla (Have no idea if it is reliable!!) It sold in 2000 for £140K, was up for sale (but didn't) in 2008 for £245K and it's current estimate is £241K0

The land registery figure you have will be accurate. The Zoopla guestimate probably won't be. If things were selling for around 240k in 2008 the asking price looks about right, although you probably know the local market best.0

Look like a very large factory/warehouse directly behind the house. Could be noisy. Smelly?
Street view won't allow a look but the satellite view shows it clearly.
I'd be checking out the factory/warehouse and finding out what it is.0 -

If you are looking at what I know of the area, it is a barbecue outlet store. Random but true. :rotfl:0 -
"95% Mortgage Potential*"
what does that mean?0 -

It's the Farleigh Hill Trading Estate behind. Might be noisy with comings and goings.0

There seem to be more 10% deposit mortgages available now?0

i'm very late on this (was searching for zoopla opinions) but thought i'd post anyway!
that property is a repossession - so if you go for it, just be careful as you can be outbid any time up to exchange. i got stung in the past, and it's horrible, especially if you have had your survey done!
good luck if you go for it
