Could easily be a plug top fuse that has blown 13A.
If its built in you should be able to see the plug top inside your units.

Most built in ovens are now wired on plugs as the power they use is under 13A.

As for the cause it could be a few things most likely one of the elements has blown, not the end of the world and an easy fix for an appliance engineer, first try swapping the fuse if there is one.

thanks for the reply,i did abit of research on the internet and i've found it to be the heater element so just a £25 fix instead of a new unit.

Do you think or do you know that its the heater element.

Its unusual that the hob ignition has gone aswell. The oven and hob ignition are completely different and have seperate 13a plugs. Me thinks its something to do with the socket that has taken out the fuses in both plugs. Before you spend your £25, you may want to do some further investigating, (and not on the internet).

Its only likely to be the heater elenent if the oven light etc is on but there is no heat. If there is no power at all coming to the oven ie no lights or anything are working, then its something to do with the power supply.

Yeah the hob hadn't stopped working, forgot to mention. It tripped the rcb so thats why that wasnt working, the oven turns on and the fan works and the thermostat light comes on so it appears to be the element because the oven is not heating up.

I initially thought the whole oven wasn't working.
