PS thanks for all the info on finding local charities/schools; I've just changed mine to one in my local area.
Hiya,
I have just sussed out that if you have Internet explorer 7 you can also set your default search provider to any that you prefer. I have just changed mine to every click so that I can use my browser search and still help rather than going to a different page.
Hope this helps someone

Thanks for that; I've added it as a new tab on my homepages for now...just can't bring myself to do without Google altogether yet0 -

If you joined on PB in Northern Ireland a few years ago then you are classed as a NI piggy as the site wasn't up and running in the UK then. MY OH joined this year and so even though we are in the same house, he's a UK piggy and I'm a NI piggy.
Thanks, I didn't know that. It's a moot point anyway as Pigsback aren't letting me in anymore - I get the "Incorrect Username" message. Have e-mailed them to see what's going on

Does anyone know how many searches we have to do before some money gets credited to the charity? I've been searching all evening and it's still on 0.00.:smileyhea "here, hare, here" :smileyhea0

hope no one takes offence at this (as i'm really not trying to offend) but it's strange how everyclick has been on pigsback for a long time and nobody really mentioned it until PB offered points for signing up to it (i'm sure they weren't offering points before as i didn't get any when i signed up). anyway, like i said, i hope no one gets annoyed at this, as it's just a random observation.
also, don't worry about the totals -they won't go up until after a while as they are counted up periodically..i think once a month or something.:heart2:

everyclick allocates 50% of its gross revenue to charity each month. Each active charity receives a proportion of that sum equivalent to the proportion in which its supporters use the website relative to the supporters of other active charities. The activity of everyclick website users who do not select a specific charity will benefit all active charities on a pro rata basis.
All website activity by users is measured by reference to the number of searches that website users make - so every click really does count!
An active charity is defined as any charity that has a supporter. Supporters are defined as anyone who selects a charity from the everyclick website to benefit from their use of the site or who uses everyclick's website via a referral from a charity website. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I'm not offended, you are right, I remember Jules mentioning this a while ago and thinking I must do that but never did until I saw you could get 50 points. Better late than never and I am going to get our PTA to promote it at school to see if I can get other people doing it there so for everyclick well worth the 50 points in my case. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I didnt even know what it was. Getting the 50 points was def what brought it to my attention - which I guess is why they offered them.
I bet there are lots of good things around both on and off of PB but we just dont always see them until something or one draws our attention to them.0
