Burtons Account / Santander Advice Please

Hi folks

I am in the process of trying to claim back some missold PPI and sent a claim to Santander for a Burtons account. I have received a final response saying that they have reached the end of their investigation and are happy that we were not missold including a copy of the application. They have advised that if I'm not happy with their response to contact the FLA (Finance & Leasing Association). I looked at their website and it states they are unable to award compensation. Is this just a stalling tactic by Santander or do I have to go down this route? I thought that my next step would the FOS but they have not even mentioned them in their response....

Any advice you can provide would be very helpful.

TIA

    Hi there

I would contact the FLA anyway just to rule them out, this way you can still contact the FOS who may suggest this to you otherwise, but if this fails the FOS may suggest the actual insurer/underwriter.

Someone did actually post a thread not long ago on here and said they had some success by using the FLA, not saying its guaranteed everytime as it may also depend on the circumstances of the complaint as well but contact them first with the details shown on the FLA website, and if they confirm they are unable to help, contact the FOS anyway and see what they suggest.

Good luck and please let us know how you get on, cheers.

The sale is not under FOS jurisdiction. A lot of these types are sales are going to be rejected as they are non advised and sold on a information only basis. why do you feel it was mis-sold out of interest?
