discolouring paint

Hi i have just painted the walls in the porch yet again.

The walls are bare brick and a few years ago i painted them with white masonary paint then some patches of a light tan came through so i repainted again and again but still i got the tan patches.

Today i mix white Emulsion with water and painted that on the walls a few times to see if i could seal the walls but i have still got the patches a light tan in the same places.
The porch does get cold etc but it is warm today, it also has a concrete floor with block paving if this helps.
Has anyone got any ideals please?

Coat of BIN or spirit based undercoat first.

    Cheers

No I mean undercoat. Gloss is the topcoat that goes over the undercoat. BIN is shellac based and made by Zinsser (US). First class stuff but at over £50 a gallon is a tad expensive. Dries in 15 minutes though. You'll need to leave undercoat overnight before going over it with your emulsion.

BIN paint [no experience of this] or 'alkali resisting primer' [I know this does the job]

Thank you very much for your help
one more thing even though the gloss paint says one coat etc can you still use an undercoat as the gloss seems to yellow after a short time?
    Thanks again

If the gloss yellows because of a change in the gloss itself, you need a different gloss. If it yellows because of a problem with the substrate, you need to address the substrate problem before applying more gloss.

No I do not mean gloss of any description whether self undercoating or not. I mean ordinary, bog standard, Mark I, spirit based undercoat. Like this

    or this:
