Hello!
We got a 10 week old tea cup yorkie on Friday, all vaccinations and wormed with vets certificates and papers.
He's being fed Royal Canin, was eating well, normal solid poo (sorry!)
Since last night hes been having bad diarrhea, didn't eat much this morning but drinking.
We have had him outside on the grass and he was chewing at it but we're stopping him. Could this be why his poo is wrong or just his age or the big change being away from his mummy.
My heart is broke incase We're doing something wrong
Thanks in advance

Sorry to read this.
You need veterinary advice, just like a human baby small dogs can dehydrate very quickly and you may need antibiotics. Do you have pet insurance and does your regular vet have an out of hours service? Unfortunately it's against forum guidelines to seek vet advice here. May also be worth ringing your breeder, she ca reassure you as to what you are doing and be on the alert for any other puppies falling ill. Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

This site will tell you all you need to know. There is basically no such thing as a teacup puppy.0 -
Teacup or not (Not really relevant to the question??) The puppy is having new home wobbles.
Phone the breeder just to confirm you are feeding the right number of meals per day etc, maybe she was moistening the food and you're not?
When pups leave for a new home the stress of the whole thing VERY OFTEN affects the digestion, just need a couple of days to settle in. However, the other poster was right, your dog is small and so will get dehydrated REALLY quickly. Contact your vet and they will give you some rehyrdation powder to mix with water which contains all the salts and minerals the pup needs to remain healthy. Vet might also give an enti-sickness injection, but will definitely give it a good once over to put your mind at rest!
Maybe the breeder wormed the puppy just before you took it home (naughty of breeder but quite common) and you are seeing result of worming?
Could be anything as you are probably realising and we are only faceless internet bods. See a vet.
Good luck, I have my own yorkie and love her to bits

Thanks for all the help. I was for taking him to the vet this week anyway for a wee check up but will call in morning. No more watery poo's so far thank god, he's drinking and has ate a wee bit of food (have been soaking it like he'd used to). Happy and playing away, learning what a puppy training pad is with a few missed shots but thats what carpet cleaner is for!
I know there is the teacup myth but no at all worried nor caring as he's a wee dote.
Thank you all! xx0 -
Rescues don't generally publicise myths ... You might ask your vet about soaking kibble whilst you are there, I read somewhere that there are health risks associated with soaking foods that are intended to be fed dry. I can't recall where so I cannot vouch for the accuracy.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

By 10 weeks he should be very much used to dry food by now so soaking shouldn't be necessary anyway. Glad he's ok now though but don't worry you will get the odd runny bum from time to time or a bit of sick if they've eaten something they shouldn't have, unless it's consistent or they seem poorly there's no need to fret. It's really gross when they are sick some food and promptly try to eat it again though lol, ick!"Life is what you make of it, whoever got anywhere without some passion and ambition?0
