The last thing I got today was 2 pousson (sp) shelf edge showed 2 for £3 long term offer, packaged at 2 for £3.50 and scanned the same, so got a nice dinner for nowt!! In Tesco Deysbrook.
CS girl made a big deal of telling me that the policy was changing as of tomorrow. Think there has been loads in last few days to !!!!!! them off!0 -
Thought I would take a trip to my local store this morning to see if my theory about their PI dept relaxing now it's 'only' DTD was borne out. Boy, was my theory right! For the last few weeks this shop have been largely 'on the ball' with their prices, but today the meat aisle was a disgrace, tbh. I could have picked approx 6 different meats all overcharged! Disgusting! Anyway, I eventually decided on:
Turkey Steaks SEL £4.48/kg, pack £5.48/kg
Lemon & Garlic Chicken in bag SEL £2.99 pack £3.49
British Beef Silverside joint with added basting fat SEL £4.86/kg pack £6.48/kg
I know these are no longer free, but I for one won't let this less than wondrous company get away with it!
And the faffing about trying to work out DTD on the meat was a sight to behold. They have had absolutely no training on this at all and eventually they had 4 people trying to work it out...and eventually coming to the figure I had worked out in my head and told them!
A good laugh! And I am comforted that Tesco STILL haven't made a profit out of ONE of my many visits!0 -
I've just bought 2 Tesco's own fabric conditioner. It was on offer at 2 for £1.60 but scanned at £1 each. The offer should've ended yesterday. I thoght I'd get 80p back but she actually gave me £1.60!0

Max Factor Mascara showed at introductory offer of £7.99 was charged £9.99 for this - went to Customer Services and got my £9.99 refunded. Overheard 1 of the assistants saying that all the Bourgois cosmetics were showing the wrong price.0

Misprice: Found a 20% off wine label today and obviously as offer expired yesterday only 5% came off at the till.
Rather than be exact about it, the SA scanned in 2 bottles of wine and gave me the cost of those as a refund. It worked out slighly over DTD back.
I get the impression they won't mess about too much and will do 'as near as' to avoid delays.Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs
Total cashback / freebies / money-saving: 2006 ~ £3,961 | 2007 ~ 3,610 | 2008 ~ £4,159 | 2009 ~ £1,449

They don't as a rule but I've always found you 'sort of' get R&R on stuff that has a very short shelf date on it. When we used to order online, we would often get chickens that had just one day left on their best before date. I argument was that, if we were actually shopping in-store we would never have picked a chicken/whatever with just one day left on it. Result was always refund to card and keep the product. R&R by another name, I suppose.0 -
Can anyone tell me how many different flavours of roast in the bag chicken they do? Sel stated butter basted chicken £2.99, picked one up with £3.49 sticker on bag. Went to desk to query it and cs came back after checking and said it the "butter flavour with seasoning" which was on offer but it was out of stock.
So I told her I sometimes buy the garlic one but didn't realise they did butter flavour and butter basted. Had an idea she was mistaken but had just seen the board stating double difference - would only have saved me 50p so I couldn't be bothered arguing.
I hope some of you continue to give them hassle but it's not worth it for me any more, I'm off back to Asda0
