as the admin have said its a free welcoming site where we can have mature adult like debates and discussions without the troll image that you have
if you can be constructive and not belittle everyone and treat people with respect then you are more than welcome
  • Well the sign probably would not help me too much seeing as there are over a 1000 of them in the UK:rolleyes: Oh and just out of interest what response will i recieve from you GinJim if i take up the offer of joining the 'new' site of which you are a moderator of??

    TescoEmployee

You have your own platford on ELP "The company line is a dedicated thread ("Company Line") for you and other Tesco employees who want to defend their company against the abuse of the Refund and Retain policy unmoderated (within reason).

  • I have only been a member for a couple of months now, but personally I do not think the Tesco thread is dying. For a start there is more than 1 Tesco thread on MSE there are threads on building points, using vouchers and of course misprices, amongst a few other things that are all things Tesco related.
I enjoy all of these threads and take advantage of any that may be advantageous to myself, family or friends, but I do not do this with just Tesco threads, I do this with the Boots threads, other misprice threads and any money saving opportunity threads that come to light on MSE. Because please correct me if I am wrong but is this not what MSE is all about, MONEY SAVING.
If I take advantage of a misprice at lets say Amazon and I am lucky enough to have them honour it then I am MONEY SAVING, if I take advantage of a glitch in a system such as the Hamleys discounts that ended up giving you 60% off then I am MONEY SAVING. I took advantage of the Tassimo glitch on the Boots website, definately MONEY SAVING, so why then when I smile all the way to my car after getting my R&R in Tesco do certain TE's get so riled up, there is no better way of MONEY SAVING than getting something for FREE!
I joined MSE to save money and manage my finance's better and I will do this any way that is possible and Tesco R&R is one of the possible ways. Now wether certain members here like it or not it is Tesco Company Policy at present and My Statutory Rights are not affected when I ask Tesco to implement thier Company Policy.
As to Tesco changing their policy to double the difference, thats fantastic, it will just give members MSE new challenges to see who can find the best difference, if I am charged £17.99 for a DVD that was priced at £7.99 for instance, then the difference will be £10.00, so Tesco will give me 2 x 10 = £20.00, I will have only paid £17.00, I will still have the product and be paying me £3.00 to take it away, in this instance I will not only smile all the way back to my car but I will probably do a happy dance also!
The point again is it is all about MONEY SAVING one way or the other and this is why I joined MSE in the first place and why I intend to remain a member for a long time yet.
  • Coz my lickle finger hurties :cry:

    Not the puppy dog eyes...

    Ok, I'll forgive you!!

Fair points made in your post - My comments also related too the 'Tesco On-line Discount Codes' thread which has been 'locked' for a couple of days now due to abuse.
