Lady in front of me was doing a R&R (couldn't see what) and I heard the Customer Service Assistant say "not for much longer the refund and replace is going to end very shortly" - just as I was starting out !!

Just seen this over in the mis-price thread - The 'Refund And Replace' policy seems to be the buzz word in Tesco at the moment.

I could get a job with Tesco as a private investigator, actually tracking you all down, collecting information and secretly fitting you all with tracking devices so we are immediately alerted when you enter a Tesco store!

The change of policy was quoted to me when I had a refund on some games. I was informed that I would not be getting a full refund as staff believed I was abusing their goodwill policy. Head office were called and the member of staff said to them that she wasn't prepared to refund me and went on to discuss with her the change of policy. Double the difference would have suited me fine as I was charged £35 quid for a £13 game!

i have never heard tescos cs staff refer to it as refund & retain.
