I found some old (and have to say rather crap) DVD's in the 3 for £18 offer...they were stickered £7.xx each - i went to self scan and the 3 for £18offer didn't trigger as it should - instead it triggered the 2 for £12 offer instead and just overcharged for the other third DVD. Only problem is that although they were stickered £7.xx they have all now been reduced to £6.xx which meant the woman said that the difference between what I actually paid and should have paid was only 96p

I told her that didn't matter and they should refund but she was having none of it and the duty manager agreed with her and they offered me one of the DVD's free. As it was crap and I would need to buy the other two crap DVD'S I told them to forget it and just refund the lot....

Well it depends on the store. I had all 3 DVDs refunded a couple of months ago when they had left out several OOD stickered '3 for £25' DVDs. They were good ones too, kept them as chrimbo pressies.

In my case, 2 of them had scanned at about £6.97 and one (pure luck I picked that one!) scanned at about £15, so the overcharge was caused by one DVD but they happily said 'you will get all 3 free'.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • postie, calm it down eh??

your head must be swelling at a greater rate than inflation. we had the banter, the laughs and the rows and upsets in the last thread. now lets keep it real and sensible.

remember its christmas, some people on here take the internet so seriously that this may scar them for life and ruin their festivities.

Well mate...i really think you have "assumpted"(i know its wrong) incorrectly here.

I would be really pleased if a tried and tested RandRer like wlfc1 was at the head of this site.

Unfortunately i dont believe this to be the case.

And it isnt even called "Every little helps" now.

In fact it isnt even called what Maggie calls it.....Every Penny Helps

It appears now to be called "Every little penny"

No one seems to have been brave enough to answer Constantines question either......I wonder why.

I believe WLFC1 is the leader along with a certain other poster not seen for a while!

Osakan! :D , but wlfc1 goes under the name spitfire :rotfl:

Lego Star Wars II on the PS2 on display today. The price on the poster was for a couple of pounds less than the price on the SEL. I bought the game (it scanned at SEL price) and wandered back out to the car and then back to CS.
The CS assistant compared the game price first to the SEL and then to the poster, and then pointed to some very small writing at the bottom of the poster which stated offer ends 17/12/06.

Just had a near identical experience to you with Pro Evo Soccer 6 PSP
    Poster £24.97
    Charged £29.97

Would only offer difference as expired 17/12/06. It was the current poster w/c 15/12/06 with expiry in date in very tiny print,

"We don't produce these posters, they are produced by another company for us"
    So what?
If the offer has expired then why hasn't it been removed?
"The other offers are still current"
What other offers? there are no other prices on it, just a chart.
"It clearly says the date has expired, u were charged the correct price on the shelf edge label"
yeah, clearly if you are the bionic man with his bionic eye (I didn't really say that, just dramatising)
I was attracted to the price in big red lettering that's what I thought I was going to pay.
"Sorry, I can give you the difference as a goodwill gesture."

No thanks I'll take it up with HO in the morning.
