  • You are all aware that Tesco do not honour their online prices?
I have had customer services say that prices at the local store on the day are what are used - so in effect, go take a running jump if you see online prices and expect them to be the prices charged.
A list of more the reputable supermarkets' prices would be of more value to this once bitten twice shy Tesco shopper..

    In my experience they do.
The price you pay is always the price on day of delivery, not the day you put the item in your basket. That is common policy with all the supermarkets. If an item is showing at a lower price on the website than you have been charged & is still showing at the lower price when you receive your delivery, they will honour it. It's only happened to me once with one item, but a quick phone call & I was refunded. :)
I'd say it's advisable, no matter who you shop with, to have a quick check of your online basket the night before delivery is due to re-check prices.

One example for me, I put a couple of bogof packs of muller yoghurts in my basket when they were £2.50 a pack. They are still showing at £2.50 in my basket, but are now £3.29 on the website. I know I will be charged the £3.29 for them, the current price, rather than the £2.50..just kicking myself now that I didn't buy them when the £2.50 offer was on.

I tend to agree. A good idea for a thread, but I suspect it will be moved by the mods.

I was LOOKING for those online last night when doing my order but they weren't on there then! :(

Now I have to wait 2 weeks till I do my next shop as I shop fortnightly and sure they'll prob be OOS or raised price by then!

I got the LOVELY belgian chocs for £1.25 am going to give them to my neighbour though as she was SO helpful when the guy who shares my property locked me out by literally changing the locks while I was away as he'd had an argument with his partner - great! lol

She even let me use her WC and offered me a cup of tea and I hardly know her!! :)

? totally different in that those are 'grabbits' as they tend to be short in supply or available for a very limited time only, where as this thread is just the cheapest weekly shop deals.

I don't worry about the no subs part any longer on most items as I usually do better on the subs. Allisons bread flour instead of Tesco's and a couple of fresh rainbow trout instead of the cheaper trout fillets for example....all of course for the price I would have paid for the lower cost items. :)

Yeah but things like the 8p sweetcorn ONLINE IS a grabbit for sure!!!

What is helpful about this thread is most of the 1p offers are instore only so those who shop online sometimes miss out but now we can find the really cheap deals which ARE online here...

Like last week I got the the shwartz mexican seasoning for 1p online! :j

50p now ... I tried ordering 2 just in case they were still 1p online! :D
