Gas & Electricity Prepay vs Billed
Comments
-
If you search this forum you will find several threads on this subject.
Basically:
1) PPM prices roughly equal standard credit tariiff (paper billing, pay on bill).
2) Cheaper is credit pay by DD.
3) Cheapest is onlinde account pay by DD.
Golden rule for options 2 & 3 is to submit regular meter readings to ensure you dont end up with a 'catch up' bill due to estimated bills.
The other things to consider are:
1) With ppm you pay as you go so chance of large bills or building up debt.
2) Paying on bill typically, for gas, gives you two large bills and two smaller ones.
3) Paying by DD means you pay the same every month.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
