1-2 pence? That's what a lot sell for on Amazon. Check there first to get an idea of prices for the titles you have. Hardbacks or paperbacks? Mass market or niche?
Better off doing a bootfair IMO, or selling as a job lot.

Check out completed listings on ebay and make sure it is worth the effort of listing your titles.

As for postage I'm not entirely sure I follow your question, however, weigh the book with wrapping and check the price here:

Postage is cappe don ebay so if th epostage you need to pay is more than ebay allow you need to add it to your start price when you list.

Worth considering listing today as it is a free listing day for private sellers.

Just remember though that the £3 is gross and includes postage credit and a standard paperback cost £2.16 to send 2nd class. That is before the cost of a jiffy bag or other wrapping.

Greenmet is dying anyway along with a lot of other online book re sellers. I habitually keep a stock of aorund 150 book on Greenmet, many at less than the £3.75 standard piece, and I sell perhaps one every 6-8 weeks.

I typically spend between £1.23 and about £1.70 on postage depending on the size of the book. If you are selling a larger than normal paperback or a hardback you can add postage onto the £3.75 asking price so that you are not out of pocket. The website recommends that you do not use jiffy bags and I tend to use either a brown envelope or brown packing paper to ship mine, these can be brought in large batches for less than a £1 from pound shops and the like. On average I make around a £1 per paperback and slightly more for hardbacks/large textbooks. When I was regularly selling I had about two or three orders a week, mainly on textbooks/revision guides.

I agree that you have to keep an eye on postage and this is not a way to get rich quick but you will earn more than selling them on Amazon/E-bay for a few pence. If you are looking to make better money on less-than-unique titles then a stall or car boot sale is what you need, but for the OP's 50 books I doubt it would be worth it. I know people who make £1.50-£3 selling paperbacks and hardbacks at market stalls.
