Selling books

Options
New here, wasn't sure where to put this post,....

I have about 60 books that i want to sell, all in good condition, all bought within the last 2yrs. Had a bookseller come round to the house and offered me £15! Couldn't believe it. I was hoping for more. All of them are in mint condition! Are there other ways of selling books that don't involve huge amounts of postage and packing. I don't drive and live in a rural area, can only do a car boot sale with the help of someone else. Any suggestions?
Many thanks for reading,

Try a site called preloved, i have never failed to sell my stuff locally on there from moto cross bikes to my pets offspring, its your best bet for local selling and costs nothing to list or sell them.

    preloved.co.uk is the site.
    Owed out = lots.

Dealers tend to work on 10-20p for a book so you were lucky to get a £15 offer. Things like chart novels or best sellers even in non fiction are reall ynot worth bothering with, unusual stuff or niche fiction can do well online sometimes.

However the market for books is very poor, the costs of postage have done away with a lot of the fast turnover as in many cases it is cheaper to buy on the high street rather than have to pay postage when you buy online.

You say you don't want to faff around with postage, so I really don't think that leaves you much selling opportunity at all really.

I sell quite a lot of my books on Amazon, which suits me fine. I only tend to do it with the books that will sell for £2 or more, and the seller gets charged the postage. If you have a lot, it might be worth putting an ad in a local paper, although I think you might just get some more secondhand dealers enquiring. If you can't be bothered with postage though, you might be better off just accepting an offer from a dealer - £15 is better than nothing...

Thinking about it again I think £15 is marvellous actually. I got persuaded to buy three tea chest full of books at an auction about 5 weeks ago...I paid £3 for the lot.

Listed 4 books, kept 3 for my son and couldn't even give the rest away on freecycle.
