Everest Windows

We've had a bit of a shocking experience with an Everest rep. He was meant to come and quote us for new windows and when he arrived he had no info with him and told us in not so many words that we couldnt afford them and to use a local firm. We were so incensed that my partner rang them that same day and asked for no further correspondance from them and that we wished to have all our details removed from their database.
We then received a mailshot today about an offer they had going which I think is illegal after we had asked never to hear from them again. I'm busy drafting a complaints letter so does anyone know for sure? Also, does anyone know the address I should send the complaints letter to?
Cheers

It can take many weeks for a ban on further correspondence to come into effect.
I used to work for a mail order gardening company. Their mailings were prepared in vast warehouse which was the size of an aircraft hangar. With the best will in the world, it is impossible for one operative to search hundreds and hundreds of crates of already prepared mail, which is not necessarily in any kind of number or name order, to find the one item that is about to be sent to the one protesting former customer.
Just Return to Sender any items that come through but do give Everest the benefit of the doubt for a few weeks yet. They may well have already done exactly as you asked but cannot wave a wand and perform miracles overnight.0 -

At least the company rep was honest with you, would have been a lot worse signing you up to overpriced windows or a finance plan you couldn't afford, unusual that with salesmen.0

My thought also..
otherwise the thread would be 'missold windows by Everest, what rights do I have?'
OP, post in vents & praises about their service, bin the leaflet and move on with your life. :cool:0
