    Just heard back from agency.

The new company said providing everything I've said is correct then they are happy with employing me. They are contacting the bank to confirm what I've said is true though. I hope to god if the bank do provide a detailed reference (I have no idea and neither does the agency as to whether they can or not) then they don't miss anything out/bend the truth.

    So so far, so good.

    That's great news!

I imagine that the bank will probably not want to give out very much detail (it's personal and they will be limited to what they can divulge).

    good! fingers crossed

I was in the same situation after 5 years with crappy Manpower - I left after being offered a job proper job because Manpower were giving us all disciplinaries to harrass us into leaving (it worked - everyone left over the next 2 years) But they then put their silly disciplinary on my reference!! and the offer of employment was withdrawn - so I was unemployed and - thanks to Manpower - have been ever since

    Hope you get your job

moral of the story? Don't work for Manpower! - its pure slave labour
  • Ok, finally got everything approved and sorted now. Think they contacted the bank and are now prepared to accept it was a one off mistake a long time ago and look forward to me beginning employment with them. A HUGE sigh of relief.

Will have to work extra hard when I start with them to prove my worth, happy days!
